College Highlights:
In 46 games, Frye completed 913 of 1,436 passes (63.6 percent)
for 11,049 yards, 64 touchdowns and 32 interceptions … He added 429 yards and 19
scores on 375 carries (1.1 avg), giving him 11,478 yards and 87 touchdowns in
total offense … He is only the third quarterback in Mid-American Conference
history and 16th in NCAA Division 1-A annals to throw for at least 2,000 yards
in four consecutive seasons.

Frye … Participates in nearly every community service endeavor involving the
Akron football team. He has taken part in Mike Gottfried's Team Focus Camp in
Ashland, Ohio, each of the last three summers … Frye is also a regular on the
weekly visits to Akron Children Hospital during the season … He has also been a
member of the Akron Mentoring Program over the last three years, and helped run
Antoine Winfield's Summer Camp at the Rubber Bowl in June … Volunteered with
Special Spectators, a national program which helps promote student-athlete
interaction with children's hospitals, in February 2004. That community service
endeavor was featured on ESPN2's Cold Pizza in June 2004 … Wears a Superman
t-shirt under his uniform during each game, a tradition he started in high
school to honor his favorite superhero … Throws with his right hand, but writes
